What I'm up to

It's been a pretty busy summer so far; I've been doing web design for My Amanda Design, trying to finish up my senior year of high school, and still working my construction/nursery irrigation job.

I don't have any pictures to show of my construction job right now except one of my boss's truck :D

We've been doing quite a bit of nursery work as well as we just started a remodel job. I'll try to get some pictures for y'all soon :)

Let me show off some of mine and mom's work on web design! She designs all the pictures and picks out the color schemes, and my job is to code it.

We just finished up two website designs, Pack Manufacturing (from here in McMinnville) and Social Media Profit Agency (he handles social media marketing for small business owners).

If I had it to do over again, I'd have built Pack on a StudioPress theme, for the benefit of the Genesis framework and having a child theme. However, I think it worked out pretty good for their purposes!

The SMPA site is built on the Agency child theme, which I customized pretty heavily for Reinventing Her. Eric liked what we did for Reinventing Her, so I tried to duplicate much of the design (minus colors and a few other details) for his website. All in all, I think it really turned out nice.

Meanwhile, my truck has been wearing me out with the rising gas prices! I'm beginning to look into smaller trucks, preferably V6 5-speed four-wheel-drive S10s or a Nissan hardbody. I don't want a beater, I want one that's been taken care of, but still trying to keep below $2000. I don't know if any of you have been in the truck market for a while, but that's a hard balance to strike! So if you see anything like that, tell me about it so I can look at it and maybe save some gas!

Well I better get back to some web design so I can make enough money to buy a truck ;)
